Field Service Technician – Autonomous Forklift Rollout (m/f/d)

Stadtallendorf, Karlsruhe
Full-time
Permanent employee

Your mission

You go where our vehicles go live: toolbox in hand and always ready to talk things through, you keep our automated forklifts running at the customer's site, acting as the link between our international remote team, day-to-day operations on site, and enabl HQ.

Right now, that means the rollout of our next vehicles in Stadtallendorf. When a new project kicks off somewhere else, you're on the road for it.
________________________________________________________________________________

This role is initially a 1-year fixed-term contract, with a clear path to a permanent position on our team in Karlsruhe!

What We Offer

  • A front-row seat in a growing robotics startup and its autonomous systems
  • Startup mentality: short decision paths and real ownership
  • Hands-on onboarding from our engineering and remote team
  • The chance to get your forklift license through us
  • 30 days of vacation plus a training budget
  • The chance to shape a brand-new role at enabl from day one
  • A clear path to a permanent position in Karlsruhe after the fixed-term start, if it's the right fit on both sides

Your tasks

  • Supporting the rollout of our forklifts in live warehouse operations at the customer's site
  • Fast, hands-on troubleshooting directly on the vehicle whenever something's off on the hardware side
  • Acting as the link between our international remote team, engineering in Karlsruhe, and our contacts at the customer
  • Keeping an eye on day-to-day operations, and flagging or escalating technical and process issues
  • Supporting rollouts at other or new customer sites – you're our person on the ground whenever a new project kicks off

Your profile

  • No engineering degree required – you're a doer with hands-on experience working with vehicles, machinery, or technical equipment, whether you picked it up through training, on the job, or as a hobby
  • High willingness to travel, especially for rollouts at new customers: you'll be put up in a hotel on site during the week, and over the weekend too if you'd like
  • A forklift license is a plus but not a requirement – you can get certified with us
  • Strong communication skills to mediate between the customer, our remote team, and Karlsruhe
  • A level head and resilience, even when things get operationally stressful
  • Confident German (at least C1); English isn't required but is a big plus for working with our international team
