Part-Time Accountant, 40-60% (m/f/d)
Your mission
Leading industrial corporations in logistics, automotive, and consumer goods are already relying on our technology. To fully focus on our technology and growth, we need a rock-solid financial foundation. Clean accounting isn't just a necessary evil, it's the bedrock for every sound business decision. That is exactly where you come in. As our very first accountant, you will build and continuously develop the structures that a rapidly growing deep-tech startup truly needs
What We Offer
- True creative freedom: You will build our accounting structures from the ground up and leave your mark—no "that's how we've always done it" mentalities here.
- Direct impact: You will work closely with the CEO and see firsthand how your work drives the company forward.
- Exceptional professional growth: In a fast-growing startup, you will develop both professionally and personally faster than anywhere else.
- A flexible part-time model (40-60%) with up to 50% remote work, designed to fit your life.
- A permanent contract in a forward-looking deep-tech company.
- Flat hierarchies, quick decision-making processes, and a small, highly motivated team building something great together.
Your tasks
- Taking independent charge of day-to-day financial accounting: managing receipts, verifying and paying incoming invoices, tracking open items, and handling dunning processes.
- Working closely with our tax advisors and auditors, including monthly receipt preparation and supporting the preparation of annual financial statements.
- Maintaining and advancing our DATEV accounting system and receipt workflows.
- Acting as the go-to person for the entire team regarding travel expenses and reimbursements via Moss.
- Actively shaping our digital financial processes: identifying opportunities for simplification or automation and implementing them.
Your profile
- A completed commercial apprenticeship, ideally as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellte:r) or with further training in financial accounting.
- Several years of experience in operational accounting and proficiency in using DATEV.
- Reliability, diligence, and discretion: you will work independently in accounting and carry real responsibility.
- A keen eye for detail and a highly structured, organized approach to work.
- A hands-on mentality and a genuine drive to make an impact: you don't just manage things; you improve them.
- An interest in technology is a plus, as you will be dealing daily with technical suppliers, hardware orders, and development expenses.
- Business fluent German (C1) and good English skills (B1) to communicate effectively within our international team.
- Experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable is a nice-to-have, but not strictly required.
